Turley began his musical education when he was 8 years old, and by high-school was accomplished not just as a singer,
but on multiple instruments as well, including guitar, piano, saxophone, clarinet and drums.
He initially formed Loose Wire in high-school, a band with the dubious claim of existing for two years without a single gig and then just fading away.
When he put together Cruel Sacrifice, they only performed two unforgettably blistering shows before breaking up.
But when he was introduced to the music of progessive-rock icons Dream Theater, the vocal power-house of James LaBrie
convinced Turley to concentrate his efforts on improving his singing ability. Shortly after placing an ad in a local paper, he received a call
to audition for StoneBlue, and the rest, as they say, is history.
