Starting out on a Mickey Mouse drum kit at age 6, Dave started seriously pounding skins in high school for
Johnny Buzz and The Street Punks at a talent show. From there he formed Middle Earth with best friend
Pat Garrett on bass. They jammed together for years, playing the local club circuit, including a show at the Ocean Club
in Santa Ana opening for Bang Tango.
Dave met guitarist Sam Rutigliano through his sister and they started jamming just for fun while he still played
with Middle Earth. However, when Sam formed Premonition with vocalist Steve Olds, bassist Adam Barnhart
and guitarist David Plunkett, he convinced Dave to leave Middle Earth. They've since played together exclusively.
